Responsible Care
Responsible Care® is the chemical industry’s global initiative that drives continual improvement in Environment, Health, Safety and Security (EHS&S) performance, along with open and transparent communication with stakeholders. The overall goals of the Responsible Care initiative are to foster sustainability, promote product stewardship, increase safety at production sites and for local communities, and improve occupational health and environmental protection. Gharda Chemicals Limited and Gujarat Insecticides Limited (subsidiary of GCL) are Responsible Care Signatories and committed to follow Guiding Principles and codes of management practices of Responsible Care Initiative.
We have implemented seven codes of Responsible Care towards our commitment to achieve excellence in Environment, Health, Safety and Security (EHS & S) performance beyond regulatory compliances.
GCL will continue to strive to improve their EHS&S performance, advance sustainable development, champion and facilitate the appropriate extension of Responsible Care across the business value chain, and address stakeholder expectations in continuing to develop Responsible Care.

We are a participant of United Nation Global Compact Network (India) and support Ten Principles of UNGC on Human Rights, Labor, Environment and Anticorruption.
